lupe was born into a working class family in a small European country, growing in the suburbs amidst large apartment blocks and communal playgrounds!! The time was one filled with great memories of endless days playing in the forest, our huge swimming pool which was a lake or ice skating in winter. The time was also punctuated by a growing sense of loneliness and feeling different!!

School and growing into a teenager was also a difficult time as lupe senior had high and lofty expectations for junior which were clearly not met by a young procrastinating lupe!! The strong belief of his mother in a rather eclectic but different relegion did nothing to release the pressure of feeling like a foreigner. Soon the void and great belly troubling angst of not stacking up was replaced with a period of smoke filled haze and pretty much drugs, sex and rock and roll!

The saving grace was a band of friends that one only dreams off and the countless times lupe laughed so hard are precious memory of a time gone by!! On a footnote, lupe hooked up with his old homies only 2 months ago and what a time was had!! Funny that after 25 years of little contact it only took 1 minute and it was like a big engine coming together faultless and all the cogs slinking perfectly!!

lupe fled his comfortable, secure abs in world terms luxurious life in 1987,aged 19 and traveled all around the world, seeing and in fact applying for refugee status in a country, with no success!! Of course this story leaves out a lot of details but the sense of being alone in life has never really left, lupe just appreciates it now and knows its place in his life! He embraces it and acknowledges the role of being a Global Villagers!!

Today lupe will be a 1st world refugee again, this time due to the searing heat.... 44 degrees Celsius today
